The Rhino chair – the latest addition to Maximo Riera’s animal furniture collection

We all enjoy watching animal shows once in a while. We like to see how wild creatures live, how they look like, we like to analyze every little detail and we are amazed by what they can naturally do. However, we can’t help to think that we’ll never be able to experience having such a wild creature in our proximity. Spanish artist Maximo Riera has come up with a very unusual and luxurious way to make us feel better about that.

She designed the Rhino chair, a very exquisite and unique piece of furniture. It’s an armchair covered in leather, featuring a rhinoceros head and half body in the back, while the whole shape of the chair resembles this majestic animal. So you can clearly see why it’s called like that.

The Rhino chair is part of a bigger collection of Animal furniture. All the pieces are unique art pieces and they are simply splendid. My personal favorite is the octopus chair. All the pieces have a very dramatic look and the designer has really spent quite a lot of time analyzing these wild animals before starting to create the furniture.
